Did all of the little things first like checking scroll lock. My biggest problem is the cursor will intermittently just stop, or pause, as I am trying to move it across the screen, often making me pick up my finger and restarting repeatedly juts to make it across the 1920x1080 screen one time. Basically, it is driving me insane! You would be very annoyed for the inconvenience. Does anyone have any suggestions for this? On the left side of the T100 is an unusual button that is likely a concession by Asus to keep the cost of the unit down. Then read manual and searched.
If I plug in an external mouse I see it in Device manager, but nothing for the touchpad. I'll post a link tomorrow if anyone needs it, as I'm on mobile now. It is super important that I get this completed as soon as possible because I use this laptop for school. Tab down to Settings and then key down to Mouse and touchpad. I still have a problem. My guess is that they are clueless.
Contact your support personnel or package vendor. I struggled uninstalling and repairing or re-installing newest version you provided, but every time I finally reboot after installation it leads to the same result: Mobile tab only. I've never really used gestures, so I don't know what I'm missing there, but I do know what I was missing with no control, and now I have that back, so I'm counting my blessings at this point. It did work under Windows 8. For my Q500a, the support site still shows no Win 10 drivers. Tried Fn+F9, which made the red appear. However, there is no Elan option all the way to the right.
It also makes me question if Asus is doing any burn-in testing on units before they go out the door. I used a toothbrush and contact cleaner. I can still scroll, but the direction is fucked up and it really pisses me off. Leave all the automatically generated text at the top. It would be greatly appreciated! What finally worked was I opened device manager - human interface devices. I use it so much that I need it back. Thanks for you time as always.
Try this: hit the windows button on your keyboard to pull up the start menu. Do not even started Asus Smart Gesture no icon. I've just run a whole round of other updates and it's still not showing up. Maybe after that Fn+F9 would also work. Moreover, the updating from the system is continued. This is really pernicious for the laptop owners.
When using the keyboard touchpad, I have the problem of the overly-sensitive touchpad which causes my cursor to jump around if I accidentally brush it. Please help me control this touch pad that seems to have a mind of its own. A big big thank you. I have found the settings and there is no way to address those kinds of controls. I cannot figure this one out. Setting the touch pad options on the Asus netbook can make your computer habits more efficient. That's something that tablets often fail at doing well.
Thank you for your attention. Then Click on it and choose Repair or Modify. It's at a slight angle and requires a bit of force to activate it and that can be problematic at times. So I went on to download another one and still experienced the same problem. I do not know what to do anymore.
Please, help, it would be so damn good. Now everything with the touchpad works fine. I went and looked under installed updates, and it said it had already installed, but I had purposefully reset the laptop mid-install mostly out of annoyance and repaired the install from the apps list. It's strange, because the keyboard on the docking station works fine, however there is no response when using the touchpad. Hopefully this helps someone who is having the same issue.
Do you know of any fix to this or alternative driver package? After a recent windows update the problem returned and reinstalling Ver4012 no longer works! A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. You may unsubscribe from these newsletters at any time. Delete previous smart gesture in control panel 2. Maybe if I try re-installing Elan? But I just cannot find it anywhere. Check the box next to an option to enable it. Check the box next to an option to enable it.
Does anybody know how to solve this problem? I was looking for updating the driver, Microsoft said my driver was up-to-date. I upgraded to Windows 10 and encountered the same issues as you, touch pad working but Asus Smart Gestures were not. I have tried everything that has been mentioned in this thread. It keeps reporting back the same error message: There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. Each time I go back into Smart Gesture all of the settings are not checked. I'm having a tough time with my TouchPad after updating to Windows 8 as well. Huge thanks for finding this.
