I have a 2006 shop manual and tried to find info in it but it really didn't help much. Guess I'm going to have to 'dig into' the problem and see if I can figure out where the cold solder problem is. I spent four more hours at the dealership waiting for people to decide what to do. All in all, we'd expect this new Outback to be just as reliable - though don't be expecting to have the turbo run forever without at least one expensive repair. Hasn't happened in a while but I remember mention of a questionable connector at the back of the unit. I put in some r134a and it came right back out a hole in the condensor. Run this idea by them.
Check the cig lighter fuse,. Manufacture changed out the windshield and all okay afterwards. During the repair, inspection showed all the leaks etc. And thanks in advance for checking your records. Climate control stopped working, get the fuses checked in the fuse box.
You are right, it is an interesting read. Just be meticulous and don't force anything. None of the devices demonstrate the same issue with any other bluetooth devices we use a speaker for hours on end in the house with no issues. I suggest you follow the advice I posted in my previous post if you want to get this resolved, though it is going to cost you some money to do that sorry to say. Unable to re-connect once it does, so we have to mess with settings while driving to switch to aux cable, radio, etc or pull over and restart the car completely. The radio is seemingly fully functional. The wires within the wiring harness are just to short and have ripped themselves apart in addition the rear high mount brake light is also no longer functioning.
