Standard Cab Pickup, Transmission model: 4L60-E. They have had since Feb 22, 2018 almost a month now. Continued trip without further problems. I know I should have checked it after warming up to operating temp. In any case, while doing this my transmission decided to protest what it must have thought was unfair treatment. No odd sounds or anything from the tranny.
A new one every year, brand new truck drove off lot and Have had the 8 sp shutter in trans ever since, driver's seat has a bad spring which makes terrible noise. I had a decent experience with the truck and we've put a lot of miles on it. Took it back next day and told have to drive for 2,000+ miles so the vehicle learns me and how I drive. Scraping noise heard when braking. The dealer seemed to know of this problem. If I was physically able, I would do it myself! It's possible I'm imagining this. Not sure what to do.
Right turn signal goes from normal to superfast on its own. Guess the jokes on me as now she's being towed to dealership. I'm so angry I just wanna set the truck on fire and watch it die. Immediately pulled in to the nearest safe place and limped it to a shop. I have been working on trying to change it for 6 hours and cant get the damn thing off.
Pick up and does immediately in the dealership parking lot. Was told to drive for 300 miles and if problem returns, I would need a new torque converter. Replaced torque converter, shift module and did some valve body work. Also, it's a huge vehicle so it's hard to back it into parking spaces. Either the housing was installed incorrectly or the parts used are faulty.
I've lost count of how many times I've had my truck at dealership. Time to switch to a Dodge. Extended Cab Pickup, Transmission model: 4L60-E. The contact stated that the failure would also occur when driving forward on an incline. Owner of dealership agrees she can't just sell my truck to an unsuspecting buyer also, which makes me happy.
There is a short in the auxiliary port in the radio, the voltage meter is constantly varying, there is a rattle in the engine that sounds just like a hard foam ball rattling in a tin cup. Keep driving does it worse and also now clunks when goes in reverse. When the contact shifted into reverse, the vehicle began to roll forward and the engine stalled. In the afternoon, I went back home. Owner of dealership has ordered me a new truck. So as you can see, I've spent a lot of time at the dealer.
I feel comfortable driving it and I liked the rear view camera. Message was only displayed in 2wd mode. Please call for customer service and availability at 1-800-858-7269. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where the technician performed a road test and informed the contact that the vehicle was operating as designed. I am just throwing this out there since your problem is similar to the one that I had, but please know that I am not a mechanic, just an idiot that damaged his transmission. Damn thing goes into limp mode after being driven about 10 miles. Seems like this problem is outside temp.
I was not accelerating when the truck down shifted itself automatically from 5th to 3rd gear and the engine accelerated to 4000 rpm. The vehicle was purchased October 4th, 2017 and today's date is Oct. Found fuel line contacting firewall.
